PRODUCTION OF BIOETHANOL FROM SUGAR CANE
CA$2.00
This project was carried out for 3 weeks from the 18th of march to the 10th of April where our result was obtained. In recent decades, the usage of biofuels as fossil fuel substitutes has increase. The method for lowering both crude oil use and environment pollution is the production of ethanol (bioethanol) from many different bio sources like wood, leaves, waste, biomass. But in this project, we will be focusing on the ‘THE PRODUCTION FROM SUGAR CANE’ we will examine different conversion routes of bio resource for the production of bioethanol. The main focus of this study is on the yield of ethanol from sugar cane in relation to the dilution ratio and the quantity of yeast used for fermentation while maintaining a constant fermentation and time. In this project, the feedstock is sugar cane which is a perennial plant from a family of saccahrum officerum that is mostly used for the production of sugar. Consequently, sugarcane and other agricultural crops are desirable feedstock for the manufacture of bioethanol. Agricultural waste are cheap, abundant and renewable so is sugar cane which produces a good yield of bioethanol.
